“I’m from San Jose, CA and very limited on Cuban food options. Glad I came to try the ropa vieja. Rice and beans were very tasty and the passion fruit juice was delicious. Great and fast service during the lunch hour.”

We ordered the midnight sandwich and the seafood rice. The sandwich was a 100/10 was so good very meaty and cheesy. It’s very big, can be shared amongst two people. The seafood rice which is a meal by itself was very good as well, the only downside was some of the shrimp were overcooked and hard but the rice was well seasoned. So I enjoyed it for the most part.

Keep in mind the prices online doesn’t reflect what the restaurant menu has. My sandwich was $13.99 online shows $8.99 and the seafood rice was $19.99 and online showed $13.99. It’s expensive but I enjoyed the food.

“Sometimes, all you crave is a hearty, home cooked meal without having to make it yourself. Yesterday was one of those days for me, and the Old Cuban Café on East Colonial offered exactly what I needed.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine hospitality. The ladies welcomed me with warm smiles and made me feel instantly at home.

Everything on the menu sounded good, but the steak and shrimp caught my eye, which I paired it with yellow rice and sweet plantains. Needless to say, this was a meal that left me completely satisfied.”

And the ladies that took our order were so sweet and polite and brought it to our table with a smile and making sure we didn't need anything else. They even read the receipt again when bringing the items to make sure we had everything correctly as order. Very cute place, decorated well and fair prices! The bathrooms were small and the water from the sink and toilet was a little smelly but they were clean and had everything you needed!”
